The BSA has made changes to the William D. Boyce New-Unit Organizer Award to make it more accessible to new-unit organizers. This award is one of the many recognition knots available to Scouters, and recognizes those involved in creating a new Scouting unit. It is available to scouters who were instrumental in forming a new pack, troop, ship or crew unit. The change now allows for more than one Scouter to receive the award. See the post of Bryan on Scouting, Scouting Magazine's official BLOG, for details.
Visit the BSA's page for the William D. Boyce New-Unit Organizer Award to apply. The application should go to the District Chair and District Executive for approval.
